Why in the world are atheists evil? Sure, there are evil atheists, but there are evil Christians and whatever too.

Atheists are not evil per se. Atheists can do evil things but so can those who believe in a God or Gods.....

chief: There is no one that is "good" in God's eyes. Only God is "good" - not humans. God even, makes reference to Christians being evil (see: Luke, chapter 11, verse 13). All people are inherently evil. There is none good but God (Matthew, chapter 19, verse 17).

It is not what a person believes that makes them evil, but what they do.

there are as many evil atheists as there are evil christians, catholics, jews etc.

just because they dont have religious beliefs that doesnt mean they dont have morals and values.

Religion is not required for morality to exist.
I'm a moral person, but not a religious person.

Do you not commit murder because it's morally wrong, or because God told you not to? I don't need a god to tell me that it is wrong to murder, I know that it's wrong. Does that make me evil?

I don't. But then again, I am one so would I admit it if I knew I was evil? Or would I even know I was evil?

Only a superstitious religious bigot would entertain such an inane thought.
