1. Lay out in fridge until defrosted.
2. Place unopened in cold water, changing water every 30 minutes.
3. Leave UNDER cold running water.
Some people say that microwaving on defrost is safe, but that is questioned.
For the burn, and your gonna laugh here: Good old yellow mustard. Put mustard on it, (not a 3rd degree, but on a 1st and 2nd degree) and cover with band-aid. Not only does the mustard sooth the pain, it will also help prevent scarring. All 3rd degree burns need medical attention.
Don't knock the mustard until after you try it. It really does work.

1. In the microwave oven, with the meat in a microwave-safe dish to catch the juices that might escape while thawing.
2. In an airtight bag submerged in cold water. You need to change the cold water approximately every 30 minutes, so the meat continues to defrost safely.
3. In the refrigerator on a plate or bowl that can catch the juices as the meat thaws.

Simple burn: When the burn only involves the outer layer of skin, it is a first-degree burn. There will be redness, but no blistering. Cool the burn with a wet compress (NOT ice) and ibuprofen may help with the pain.
A second-degree burn is deeper with both red coloring and blisters. These burns are painful. Treat with cool water, cover with a dressing that will not stick to the burn, do not open blisters unless they are infected. If these second-degree burns involve more than 5% of the body, or are on the face, hands, genitals, or eyes, take the victim to a medical facility.

Defrost meat in the refrigerator, or use proper microwave setting, or submerse in cold water (like a big turkey at Thanksgiving time)
Treat a simple burn with an ice cube and then some aloe or cocoa butter.

1 Don't open the sealed package and drop it into cold water and then put into fridge if not cooking immediately.
2 Leave the package in the fridge overnight.
3 Take it out of package and put in into microwave set to DEFROST power.
FOR BURN: As soon as you feel the burn put cold water on it to keep the rest of the area from being damaged and to dull the nerve pain. Tannic acid ointment or aloe sap will ease the pain.

1. In the refrigerator (41F or lower)
2. Under 70F running water (place the meat inside a container, and let water run constantly)
3. In a microwave, as long as it is cooked immediately afterwards.
4. As part of the cooking process (frozen burgers directly onto a grill)
By simple burn I am assuming you mean a 1st degree burn. This website has answers for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree burns.
