Sports Authority sell freshwater licenses. Or you could go to Belmont Park in Babylon, Long Island. Also Bait and Tackle shops on Crossbay Blvd. have licenses and there is also a shop on Main Street in Flushing.

Look up NY Fish & Game Dept online. There has to be an office in the Manhattan / 5 Boroughs area or you may be able to do it on the web.

Here's a link for gettin' one online if that'll help. Mostly all sporting goods stores, along with Walmart outlets will have them. Keep in mind the season for sport fishin' might be gettin' close to renewal time for 2008 license in New York. Know in CA., one has to get a new one each December. May want ta' check on that, wouldn't want ya' spendin' the $$ for one and it be validated for only 3 months. Good luck to ya' and check out other link from B C ;)...

I would think that any sporting good store would have them. They were even available at some of the Wal Marts and K Marts.

By the piers you don't need one. If you go out with the party boats, not needed.
