The more I learn about brain physiology, the more I realize that 'faith in a time of trouble' is a way of maintaining our optimism that things will get better. This could be considered an evolutionary trait in that it increases ones chances of survival and reproducing.

I used to be an atheist before but thankfully not now, 100 % believer now that is how Jesus changed my life. I served in the Gulf war as an army Sergeant while still serving God and I was not even home form war when my son was born, he was 3 months old the first time I saw him due to the war. I did not give up on god because i realized that no matter how hard things got he always provided my needs...my kids were well feed and clothed and we had a roof over our heads. i can not even begin to tell you all here that God carried us through but please stay strong and pray....he will not give up on you. and I am happy to be a FORMER atheist...i see the immature atheists here ganging up on you like wolves.......please report 100% of there abuses. they just love to see a christian having a hard time so do not hesitate to report them.

My first daughter was born with a very high white blood cell count and was expected to convulse and die. She's alive and well at 22 years of age.
My life has been an experience of faith and answered prayer. I am not saying that I haven't had my challenges, I have, many challenges. BUT God is faithful! Look to Him in every situation, big or small and trust Him with all of your heart and He will show Himself strong on your behalf.

When I have doubted God, I felt miserable. The verse brought to mind is... Without faith it is impossible to please God, For those who come to God, must believe God Is and is a rewarder to those who diligently seek Him.
So? I then repent for not believe God Is who God says God Is. And that God has promised to never leave or forsake me. And I confess this sin & He (Jesus) is faithful to forgive me my sin & cleanse me from all unrighteousness.
This is a promise.
To realize how much God loves you. And you need to trust God this is true, Just take the promise verses in the bible. Some are in this web site... http://www.fatherloveletter.com .
Pray in the Spirit building our must Holy Faith. Faith comes by hearing & hearing a word about Christ / God. So? claim Gods Word out loud. Hear your self confess it. Hear the Pastor preach the Word of God. Hearing & hearing. This isn't a one course meal.

It is important to keep perspective, and to keep God's promises in front of you.
Perspective: this life is very short. James 4:14b says, "14 For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.
A little time. Vanishes away. Paul likens the mortal body of a born again believer to a tent that you dwell in until the Lord resurrects you to your eternal home:
2 Corinthians 5:1-8
For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven, if indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked. For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life. Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.
So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.
So the perspective of a temporary mortal life, one which is filled wth hardship and trials will never compare to the eternal life in Christ which awaits the believer in heaven.
Yet God, a loving Father, often offers you comfort and rest, even in your earthly body. We are called to praise Him, to praise His Holy name, to find the joy and peace of the blessed hope we have in Jesus Christ. When all else fails, Jesus will not fail, if you believe Him for eternal rest and salvation. Use this as the "foundation" on which you build your prayer life, seeking first and always to praise Him, thank Him, and to remember His promises. This will place your present trials in their proper perspective: fleeting (in relation to eternity) and profitable (in that they build your faith, which is always pleasing to the Father. Remember Jesus' remarks about the faith of widow with the two mites.)
Not sure if this helps, so I will also place you in my prayers tonight, that God will give you the rest and relief you need. Also, read Hebrews 11 and 12, which are instructive about those believers who have gone before us and how God kept them through (not from) their trials.
God bless.

Accepting Jesus Christ as my Savior has totally changed my life. His solutions to our problems are so much more wonderful than anything I can think of or imagine on my own.
Through life trials as a believer I consider that I have walked through fire, but not been burned, I have been touched but not penetrated by fire!
Jesus walked with me each step of the way.
I kept relying on His strength not mine. He will see you through as well.
Listen to the song by Jeremy Camp.... I will trust in You!

eh, i was never a faith person.
i know that in life, there will be good times and bad, and faith never really did anything for me.
whatever time you're going through, no that it will get better. it's not really a matter of faith- it's a matter of being optimistic.

Believe in yourself. Not Jesus/God Because when "they" don't come and be superman ... You feel horrible. If I knew more about this crisis ... I could help more.
