Sponser or donate to a non profit organisation, helping young people with mental health issues? Is there any websites out there that people can just randomly donate to the cause, without it being a registered charity?

Thanks.

It is going to be very difficult for you to solicit funding or donations without registering as a nonprofit organization. Most large companies, government agencies, foundations, and private individuals will only donate to registered organizations.

There is an excellent resource - the Foundation Center - which has a simple, but comprehensive guide to starting your own nonprofit organization. At least read through the steps, and see how you can go about getting registered on your own at little to no expense at all.

This tutorial describes 12 tasks you will need to accomplish as part of the process of establishing a nonprofit organization:

NO .. there are just too many SCAM's out there ..

To be honest, I only contribute to those that I recognise .. even some of the SCAM's sport "Registered Charity" numbers ...

.. and (as every one should should know) ANY 'company' at a 'free' public eMail address eg. @yahoo.co.uk, @msn.com (for example, mencap@yahoo.co.uk) is a SCAM

Good question because most young people are not officially diagnosed until after they are 21.
