An M203 is a military grenade launcher that mounts under an M-16 (AR-15 is the civilian version of the M-16). I've heard that there is a 12 gauge entry shotgun that can be mounted under the barrel of an AR-15 similar to the way the M203 is mounted. Any information on a possible manufacturer/vendor?

Hmmm, this is in hunting. I wonder what you need to hunt that requires BOTH an AR15 AND a12 gauge to kill? Pack of rhinos? Baboon clan flying from trees at you? Aliens?

back about 25 years ago, there used to be an add in shotgun news for a system to mount a mossberg 12 gauge under the forend of an ar-15. I haven't seen anything advertised like that in years. my best suggestion would be to pick up a copy of swat magazine and write in to them with your question.
Good luck

They exist but unfortunately, they are not for sale or legal possession by civilians, even with a Class III license.Thet are restricted to Law Enforcement and Military use only.. Both Mossberg and Remington do make a "Pistol Grip, Short Barreled version of their shotguns that are available to the civilian market thru Class III Dealers but they do not mount under an AR-15 or M-16

Well, as you see from the above answers, somebody does make this device. I doubt you will see it on the civilian market, barrel is too short. A legal length would put that shotgun barrel way out in front of the rifle's tube.

Interesting weapon. . .

Mossberg & Remington makes a real nice one....That will mount on your AR. But it's a CLASS 3 weapon..So you have to go through everything to get a Class 3 if you can in your State...

I don't know about that, but I have heard you can buy over the internet somewhere an Atchison, which is an automatic shotgun made in South Africa. It is probably outlawed now though, with the advent of all the laws they passed for automatic weapons.

Have a look at this link to Combat Engineers website. Here's another link to a picture and article on the Masterkey breaching Module.
