if you are getting a puppy, they will adjust well.. cats were there first, so they rule the roost.. just keep an eye on everyone... after several days everything will start to get used to each other.

it may take the cats a while to accept the puppy, and since the pup will grow up with the cats, it will respect the cats, as well.

Corgis are happy, friendly dogs. But, as with all animals, it depends on the personality of the particular dog. If the dog is young, it may be easier to introduce it to a relationship with a cat. (Are you thinking about getting a Corgi or a cat?) Just be sure to closely monitor them when they are first together, so that you can separate them quickly if necessary. If you are introducing the cat- try starting off by leaving the cat in its carrier and letting the dog sniff around to get used to the smell and sight of the cat while talking softly and calmly to the dog. If the cat gets stressed (hissing, spitting, growling) end the session. You don't want to traumatize either animal. Slowly, calmly are the key words.

I have two and when ever a cat gets near the fence they... do not do anything lol. The breeder I got my girl from had 5 corgies and they all were very sweet to her cat.
