I am anti and I do support reform of our immigration laws...in a big way. I do not know ANY Pro's that support illegal immigration itself or that want open borders. I consider both sides to be Americans with very different viewpoints. I do not consider anyone that supports illegal immigration to be an American at all. I want security...too much security for now and then we can ease up a little later. Put a dome over the U.S. if we have to...just secure this country.

It does seem like we (who have open minded conversations long before the newbies came along) have been talking about this issue over a billion times. Some Pros, and Some Antis have come to some agreements on the issues too. Including Some reform, and definitely border security.
Abolishing NAFTA, and CAFTA will help ease this whole situation. With those two agreements still in effect, why does one suppose that Canada, America, and Mexico are still delaying the passports for traveling between the three countries?

I am a Naturalized US Citizen... born in Mexico (1974). I don't support illegal immigration. I do want a reform because what we have now is not working. More Border Patrol? I think so, but give them better training.
Enforce the borders... all the borders... not just the southern border, not just to keep immigrants out... but to keep our country safe from future terrorist attacks.

If we do have immigration reform, how do we know that the new laws would be enforced? In 1986, 2.7 million illegals were granted amnesty...now we have 12-20 million illegals. I need to see our current laws enforced before creating a whole new set of laws.
Just last week, the AFL-CIO, the ACLU and the National Immigration Law Center filed a lawsuit to block the Department of Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration from mailing new "no-match" notices to employers. This is part of enforcing our current law but it's being stopped.
Seriously, if we can't enforce our current laws, how can we enforce new ones? And our borders are still wide open.

Reform, and more border security on both borders. Our southern border hasn't brought any new problems that we haven't dealt with in the past, but all of the 9/11 hijackers entered the U.S. via Canada.
Immigration reform will drastically reduce illegal immigration into this country.

Illegals are Illegal.
End Entitlements to ALL Illegal Aliens--see how quickly they deport themselves and bug out back to where ever their Barrios are.
Enforce ALL Laws already on the books.
Secure OUR Borders--Build the 2000 Mile Fence Already.
Heavily Fine any business which hires any Illegal Alien.
Congress MUST Clarify the 14th Amendment and eliminate the Anchor Baby Loophole.
This issue is so hot that it has enraged Middle America. Congress should let the Legal US Citizens who are registered voters vote on an Illegal Aliens on Referendum..
Illegal Aliens and their crime, slime, Anchor Babies.... will bankrupt OUR Social Security System W/O paying a penny into it. Let's not forget the "cured" diseases which have come back from the "dead" which are now nastier than ever.
This is all about the Sovereignty of the US , our health and our National Security.

I want border security and No reform. We have existing laws that are attainable. If an illegal alien can contribute 3 to 6 grand to a criminal network like human smugglers(who are inhumane), then they can use that money to do it the legal way; instead of continuing to corrupt society in general.
The USA should support its own poor, not the worlds.

How can we trust the politicians with reform when they have repeatedly proven themselves to be incompetent with security? The first thing they will do if any type of immigration bill is brought to the table is to try attaching all kinds of perks, amnesties & visa increases onto it.
It really doesn't matter what kind of reform deal is made we will still have more people wanting to enter the country then we can handle, and the ones who don't make the cut will squeal as loud as they can, and businesses will try to get them in simply because they will work for less.
