Nope ...... Not possible if he has free will, then there would not be a god.
---------
For Faye, definition of "Freewill" :
made or done freely or of one's own accord; voluntary
If this god has already planned this to happen and he can't stop it, then it is not freewill. It is force will on the illusion of free will.
--------
If your god already know that choice, then it is not free will anymore. It is like telling the rest of us, god already know you will be burning in hell, like it or not. You can convert but god already know you will be burning. You can don't convert, but god already know you will be burning.
If god already knows, then he should stop something terrible from happening, yet, this dumb dumb does not do anything to stop anything and yet he claims innocents to let a devil run amok so he can win the bet. What type of god is he? Some stupid one?

to understand the answer, lets look at free will,
your will is your ability to act on your decision about a matter. Free moral agency is your ability to decide whether you will do good or evil, and to what degree that you will do it. Your will only carries out your choice.
Judas was a theif. He was recruited into the 12 and continued to be a theif. He was also the best actor who ever lived, for he lived in the group, around them everyday, talking, living and never once slipped up. Even as Jesus is about to be betrayed, the other 11 did not know who Jesus was talking about asking who is it Lord.
There are those that say that Judas wanted Jesus to establish his throne and drive the romans out. There are those who say that Judas had grown weary of the the talk and just wanted to get something out of his stay. If you recall he was stealing from the money bag that the disciples and Jesus used to pay their way. It has also been offered up that he was tired of not being in first chair as it were, Peter the dullard had that tied up.
Whatever the motivation, it did not matter that much, the fact is Judas sold Jesus out.
In philosphy there is what is called cosmic chess, that is God does not know all, he knows all outcomes. If that were the case, God would have needed a plan b. (or plan 9 from outer space)
However God knows history from start to finish. The greater question, and one I ponder a lot, is how I can have free choice in matters of actions, choices and ability to learn and God still be controlling the world. I put a lot of time into that.
I think this illistration will help. It is a bad one, but it is the best I can do without writing a book. there is a coin on the ground. God can make you see it without violating your free will, but you decide to pick it up or leave it, but God knows your choice already. That is foreknowledge at work in the world.
On the other hand, how God manipulates the world is by the physical, so sublime it is missed unless revealed. Easy to scoff, difficult to see.
In espionage, overt actions are invisible since they are overt. Covert can be discovered. I would tell you that the work of God is overt and that is why it is not easily seen. Judas was a theif, he wanted more than he had and could not hang onto what he had. Selling out Jesus was a logical choice. There is no mystery there, no plan b

You tell them donkey... What was the question.
Yeah the whole Passion play I think really sucked for the original players since poor Judas got cut permanently from the cast and everyone treated him like dirt. Plus I'm a little uncertain about the Christian God's so called sacrifice of Jesus. How do you sacrifice something and then get it back in the end??? Enquiring minds want to know!

It wasn't God's plan to kill Jesus. Why would God kill his own son? To me, that's not something that the loving God that Jesus taught would do. Judas betrayed Jesus on his own free will against what God wanted.
Judas was certainly allowed to have free will, as are all other human beings. God isn't so cruel as to use people as little pawns.

Judas did have the choice to have 'free will' but
he chose to betray Jesus...
There is a story that is behind his reasoning...
Judas thought that Jesus came as a warrior to fight against the Romans to free the Jews from their tyranny...
So he thought if he could get the soldiers to arrest Jesus he would fight...He really didn't think that they could kill Jesus..
He had it in his head that Jesus would fight the Romans and beat them because he was God's Son so he thought that God would back Him up and fight with Him....
Any way that was his reasoning, till Satan entered him...
Judas didn't belive that Jesus came to die on the cross for our sins...

Judas had free will. But, God knew that he would do it. No need for plan B when He knew it would be Judas.
For Yeow Teng K--- I didn't say Judas was forced to do it, just that God knew Judas would make that choice .

Judas only did what jesus asked so he could fufill "prophecy". He sure got a bad rap for it though.
It is also funny that the jews who knew this book forward and back seem to have completely missed this prophecy of the messiah dying as a common criminal until christians "pointed it out' for them.

You're forgetting He's God . . . He knew what Judas was going to do even before he did. Judas did have free will, it's just that God already knew what he was going to decide.

God's plan A wasn't followed, and because Judas still kept going that way, we don't find out what plan B was....

Nope, If Judas and Jesus existed, it wouldn't be difficult to sit there and pick someone who you know is going to do what you want...
Best line of JC Superstar...."You used me!" (from Judas)
Sides, I've often heard it claimed that it was an inside job, and that Judas was doing exactly what he was told to go do (Gnostic Gospel of Thomas).
