Stevie Ray Vaughn was cool. I only wish I could have seen him live.

Like everyone else in here, YES!
However, I think his greatest work and feat came when he played Montreaux for the second time after being booed off the stage the first time. His best song was with Johnny Copeland called Tin Pan Alley.

SRV can straight play. I've added "Texas Flood" and "Couldn't Stand the Weather" to my album collection.
I don't have a favorite song but "Mary had a Little Lamb" seems to put me in the right mood

SRV is my hero!
I love Tin Pan Alley (a.k.a. Roughest Place in Town), and basically everything that comes from his fingers.
Have all of his DVD's and the Mocambo and 1985 Montreux Jazz Festival are great ;)

I love Stevie Ray Vaughan's music. Sadly I only heard about him after he died. What a tragic waste it was.

I still think SRV was one of the greats and his version of Vodoo Chile was as good as Hendrix. Amazing guitarist, supposed to be self taught and reckons he cannot read music. Doesn't need to if he can play like that. BLUES ROOLS OK.

I LOVE SRV, but sometimes he seems to be the answer for everything on this forum as if there wasn't a wealth of players throughout blues' long and wonderful history!
Although, extra props for the person who said they liked 'Life By The Drop' ... good tune.
