The quicker you get treatment the better the pups chances of recovery. Only time will tell if your pup makes it. I hope so.
Best of luck!

if you caught it early enough its a 50/50 chance, however id expect the worse, toy breeds do NOT faire as well as larger breeds and a 7 week old chihuahua is unlikely to have the chance that a larger breed would have.
where did you get this puppy from, if its from a petstore you need to file a formal report to the store with a copy of the vets stuff so far and keep them updated...
if from a breeder, unfortunatly its obviously a bad breeder because a good one would NEVER let such a young chi go home...you could try and take it up with the breeder...
likelyhood is if this dog is from a "breeder" all the pups in the litter, and possibly their other dogs have it...if its from a store unfortunatly this is a common problem.
i hope he makes it and hopefully next time youll have learnt from this and only get puppies from respectable sources.
GOOD LUCK

This a question you ask the vet. We do not know the answer here.
Why do you have a 6 week old chihuahua in the first place? The dog should have been with the mother until at least 8 weeks old.
I hope the puppy gets better.

In hospital, in intensive care for the duration of the illness (10-14 days), his chances are about 80%. (some people bring the pup home too early and he "relapses".)
Puppies that are cared for at home have a less than 50% chance at survival.
Of course, this is just my general experience. Your dog's case is unique, and there could be other factors that help or hurt him. Your vet can tell you exactly what he predicts for your dog.
Sorry for your troubles, hope he's better soon.

My baby Bruno 9wks old was diagnosed with Parvovirus last Friday and after almost 5days of being in a hospital, he passed away this tuesday. The doctors say that it all depends on the puppy. All you can really do is give him lots of love and visit him often.

A chihuahua can go down so much quicker than other dogs. They are so small and have less tolerance of a disease. Hopefully it was caught early enough that it will pull thru.Have you contacted the breeder that sold you this sick puppy?? Keep all the records and vet bills. I would sue the breeder if I were you.
I will pray for your pup and for you.

Ask the vet. Also, report the place where you got the dog to the Humane Society. It comes from bad conditions and other puppies could have the same problems. The call them puppy mills. Good luck with the puppy!

i'm sorry to pay attention that your canines has this this is annoying on them. i could extremely proceed to pass to with him accepted. Or a minimum of each and every threat which you would be able to. It does help. I definitely have a canines that had this virus and he pulled by way of. He had to stay interior the vets wellbeing center for 7 days. He has because of the fact made an entire restoration. i became into advised that this is greater good on youthful puppies than older yet their became into additionally a youthful domestic dog that became into interior the wellbeing center a similar time that my canines became into and he or she made it to. So i could say that there is a sturdy threat that your canines will make it. How long did the canines have it till now you took it to the vet? that incredibly make a huge distinction. the quicker the greater useful. even nevertheless it is not uncommon for the canines to stay by way of this..

He is very young. Parvo puppies have about a 50% chance of surviving. Catching it early helps, and it sounds like he's in a good place, being treated. Good luck!

As long as he is in treatment then his chances are good. Just make sure you do everything the vet says. I hope he gets better very soon :)
Also, make sure you contact the person or place you got him from to let them know your dog had Parvo when you got him so they are aware their dogs and other animals are at risk or probably have it too.
