Oh, I wish I knew how old you were. I also wish I knew how tall you were. If you were young, I'd tell you not to worry about getting there quickly. Pretty much, everybody (especially the kids who were particularly popular, oddly enough) from my high school graduating class has packed on the pounds. I'd say just take your time and lose the weight the right way and then just wait for it to pay off a year after you graduate high school when they've all packed on pounds and you've gotten - or are getting close to - your goal weight. I kinda get the feeling from your question that you're young, and if you are I think you should know all that. If you work on bettering yourself, you'll be one of only a few. Most people just get worse with age.
If you're not so young, and you're just crazy, well, that's a whole different set of circumstances. I dropped 70lbs in a year once, my senior year of high school/freshman year of college. I ate pretty much only vegitables and maybe some chicken once in a while, and for the last month of it all I only ate about half of a small meal a day, and substituted about three MetRx shakes a day for the rest. I think I dropped about ten pounds in a week. Stretch and run, pull all the sugar and flour out of your diet, lift light weights - don't try to build big muscles during this phase, just keep yours tone cuz it helps burn fat - and get your body into a good strong routine so it can take care of itself. You can lose weight pretty dang fast, but I'd say you could do the whole thing in about a year. Assuming you're in decent health otherwise.

I'm not sure about how fast. It depends on your body and habits. But I wouldn't go for speed- I'd just try to lose the weight in a way that is healthy and sustainable.
I know a woman who lost 60 pounds and has kept it off using Nikken's Body Balance program. I'm not overweight, but I use the products as well to stay fit and healthy. I've put a link below. Let me know if you'd like more info!

About a year
Here is what you need to do if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Lose weight) and you will have more energry.
If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads) in one and protein (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have any or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross country skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension) (YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. So your body doesnt go into starvation mode, YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF.
If you stick with this you will have a great body. also drink a least 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonalds, Wendys, etc because there is nothing good for you on the menus - even the salads are bad (bacon bits, cheese, dressing, etc)
Good Luck :)

you would not want to lose 60% of the total bodyweight in a very short amount of time. that's exactly how people end up with the problem of having sagging skin. losing weight around 2-3 lbs a week is what you want to do.
