I viewed and recorded the same program, and I believe it is the first program I've seen that puts all the pieces together in depicting how most scientists currently believe the earth progressed from what it looked like after its formation to how it appears now.
If properly understood, the Biblical account of creation found in Genesis 1 follows fairly closely with what was presented in the History Channel program. Note that I said "if properly understood." That requires an understanding of what the account says in the actual original Hebrew. Most people read it in English and then make all kinds of pronouncements about its accuracy.
An excellent source of information for what the Bible actually teaches about creation is the organization Reasons to Believe (http://www.reasons.org). They promote an old-earth creation model, commonly called the Day-Age view, which is largely consistent with what is now known from the natural record of earth history.

I didn't know the History Channel has been on that long!
I believe there is room enough on this beautiful gift from Goddess for religion and evolution. This 5000 year nonsense that is being pushed by Creationists because the planet is older then their religious interpretation is STOOPID! Just because I don't like Bush doesn't mean that the last 7 years needs to be erased! But if the Creationist can do that I might start thinking better of them. Then they would only be stupid!

Ummm..."believe" you ask??? It's theory and it's all evolving. Of course. That's the beauty of learning and discovery. The Biblical creation is a fairytale/storybook telling of how the ancients described what was happening to them and to their world - their very, very small world. How it ever go to be anything close to "fact" is beyond sentient folks! Hope you learned something from the program and that you're spurred to learn more.

I'm watching it. It is pretty good, but there are a few debates that they picked a side and skipped over. But of course I believe what science says about it.
It is nothing like the story in Genesis.

Seems to be well done. More evidence for the show than the Bible at any rate.
