You give a link supporting what your stand is and someone says " I don't trust that site" But yet we're suppose to trust theirs. We're suppose to just take their word as fact.Isn't that silly?Maybe we should all just start making garbage up so we get our little gold stars and our thumbs up? Illegal immigration isn't a joke nor is it something to to be used as a tool to create hate towards a group of people. It's a true concern for many.Pro and Anti alike. So how do you choose to deal with it? By ignoring the other side and saying their opinions don't count? That's dealing with it? How sad for all concerned.

editorials often times have facts and links to back them up.I like editorials I've learned a lot from them. They are just as valid as an opinion on here correct?

People don't know how to evaluate articles for it's accuracy. I took a class on statitstics, and it basically said don't even trust the hard numbers. It's so easy to fiddle with the facts. In this site, one side sends an article, and the other side is suppose to debunk it. Vice versa should apply as well. We keep the good part of the article and toss out the bad, and we get closer to the truth. People don't seem to understand that's how things should work. Sergio and Gameover brings up good article, and I highly respect them. I have commented on the faults of their article. That doeesn't mean I totally disagree. It means that they should take my suggestion and reformalate their theories. They should not look at what I criticize, but rather what I didn't and use them against my Theory. I had a hard time debunking Gameover, because he got a good article from a respectable pollster. Rand. I criticize 3 articles of Sergio, but he had 7 articles in his arsenal. Each sides have their points, and we need to listen to them.

I'll look at the links posted. If I deem it necessary I'll post links I have that support my views. Sometimes one just has to take the two and blend them to see what the truth may or may not be.
But then again I have to wonder if both sides regarding the links, rather the links themselves, aren't just another way to keep us at each others throats over the issues, rather than seeking solutions. And behind the doors of politics, with the ghosts in the system, business as usual continues to undermine America, and Americans as well as other countries.

It depends. Some links are suspect and some are not. Major news outlets, for instance, are more reliable than blogs or PR sites. News articles are more reliable than editorial pieces.

Yeah. Most of the links I've given are well known and trusted like CNN or CNBC, but the anti's still say they don't trust them. I just post my ideas here once in a while, but don't take it too seriously anymore.

LOL, yes Dog Tricks that does happen. The following quotes various things I have seen posted on here:
"My site is valid; yours is prejudiced."
"Give me facts and links, otherwise you're just mumbling."
"Anyone can create a website and post false information."

They don't like to hear the truth. They would much rather close their ears and shut their eyes. Much like the representatives they currently have in office.

This seems to be a tirade rather than a question..Everyone to some extent will filter things to their way of thinking. It's just human nature and something we all need to learn to live with.
