Well what your sister wants and what your sister needs are two different things. Once you have applyed pressure and controled the bleeding you need to tell your parents so they can decide what they what to do. I don't know how old you are, but this is something that a responsible adult needs to know about. You need to do this NOW! Most doctors will not put stitches in after about 4 hours have pasted from time of the injury.

If your sister hasn't had a tetanus shot withing the past 5 years, you're taking a big chance. Tetanus should be good for 10 years, but since the knife was in contact with another person and a lot of the environment, you need to ask a professional. Also deep cuts need to be cleaned really well in order to stave off infection. Tell your mom.

Tell your parents! Your sister could get an infection from a cut deep enough that it needs stitches! Besides, that knife has probably got every germ known to man on it!
Again, the most responsible thing to do is TELL YOUR PARENTS!

If it stopped bleeding your most likely OK, Might need a band aid. Don't make a mistake that could be a bad one, let mom take a look at it. Moms really are good people.

Well, she needs to wash it good, and make sure it is cleaned with peroxide,...then, if she needs stitches, you best get them..tell her the stitches don't hurt, and she doesn't want it to heal improperly or get a terrible staff infection in her body.and also, she might need a tetanus shot...best tell mom and dad it could have some bad consequences

for fast first aid to this injury, apply an antibiotic overnigjht to the cut site. In the morning if it looks white & shrively, clean off the antibiotic & apply super glue int the cut. fill it completely closed with the super glue. She will soon forget that she was cut. good luck!
