I am in love with the idea of being "in love." I have a boyfriend who I am crazy obsessed about. It makes me feel wonderful, like I have a reason to get out of bed and face the day. I love to make him happy. It sounds pathetic when I write it down, but without him---I am truly miserable.

It's like, a fantasy that you can never wake up from. There is no such thing as "being in love." There's no Easter Bunny or Santa either. It's just lore made up in the movies, stories, comic books and television. Once you stop believing in fantasies, you can really start to explore how you feel about people.
There's no such thing as being in love. It's just metaphysical crap made up to make people feel bad about themselves to sell Mickey D's food and other instant stuff. It's just magical "Feel-better-in-sixty-seconds" fantasies. Once they brainwash you and pull you in, they can sell you stuff. It's a load. Don't believe it.
People who feel bad about themselves buy more stupid stuff. Being in love is a dumb fantasy. Don't fall for it. You don't have to feel bad about yourself. You don't have to buy stuff that you don't need. Save your money. Put it in the bank. EVERYTHING is commercialized or for commercial gain. Don't buy in. It's all Wizard of Ox pretend. Don't believe it.

You think about the person before you do anything, you get happy to come home to them, you sometimes get butterflies in your stomach, are proud to show them off, love the little quirks they have, can just sit there together in silence and still feel comfortable, I could go on forever. It's just awesome.

If you have to ask, you've probably never been there. Love affects different people in many different ways. It's impossible to pin it down to one specific answer. All I can say is, when you find that special someone, you'll know. Love can evoke many emotions, ranging from uncertainty to that wanting to shout your love from the rooftops feeling.
