And I believe in G-d and Y'shua. But when I enter the "church" I feel sick....and like its a funeral...and SO sad for everyone....or like I'm having my teeth pulled with no anesthetic.....you get the idea....
WHY?

1st answer: no chance...seen too many miracles.
2nd: nope...I celebrate in peace at my Messianic synagogue...just mourn in "Jesus" churches.

Because God is no longer there!
I too had the same experience. I too would have tears stream down my face at every 'worship' service.
AFTER I left, it was revealed to me that it was the Holy Spriit telling me to COME OUT OF HER.
You'd do better to study in home until the Lord leads you to where you should be.
Paul spent 3 years in Arabia after his regeneration/conversion, so don't expect it to happen over night.
Pray for wisdom, discernment, obedience and a meek spirit, for the meek shall inherit the earth.

Perhaps it is, in a large part, due to the different structures of worship between the two. I do not yet fully understand the synagogue set up, but I know that the traditional "minister" led service of the Christian Churches is incorrect. I quit attending because I found that even though the ones I was attending knew much of the truth of the Almighty, and I learned a good bit of truth there, the worship structure tended to be stifling because of it's dependence on one or two men week after week after week........whether they were wrong or right because they were "ordained".
It would seem to me that the example that should be followed is the one where Paul says that one person should speak and the others should judge whether or not he was correct. And the correction, or discussion about it, should come right away so no one would leave the meeting with false assumptions.
For further study, you may want to study the doctrine of the nicolatians. It should be mind opening for anyone caught in the traditional system. Here is a place to start:

Some messianic churches have vibrant praise and worship through Hebraic dance. Maybe your worship language is just a lot more joyful than most of "the Jesus churches." I can worship almost anywhere and be comfortable, but I also prefer demonstrative worship. Maybe you are just going to the wrong types of services.

I agree with Inspector_General. Many denominations have a completely different 'feel' from others, and sometimes even churches in the same denomination are that way.
If you wish to attend a formal worship I'd encourage you to keep trying - eventually you will fall upon a people and format that speaks to you and your worship style.
I'd also encourage to worship in whatever other way you see fit. There's no 'wrong' way to give praise and thanks.

Nope.
When ever I have entered a church, I feel a sense of something almost spiritual in nature.
Such wonderful constructions! The beauty that man can create! It's breathtaking!
And I am agnostic.

Probably because you are in the wrong church. I don't mean to sound flippant - but different denominations can exude completely different ambiances.

Maybe it's just a phase; I've been there and done that, but changed at some point. Maybe I'll do it again, I don't know.

Your soul needs to be purged of its evil inclinations. You're being "convicted" by the Holy Spirit while in His house.
