This is very hard on your system, psychologically, and physically.
I don't know if you're party'n it up or not, which would be a lot worse, but take my advice on this one because I'm a pro on insomnia for 15 years.
The next time you wake up stay up until midnight, one to two hours before midnight take a extra strengh nytol, or any extra strengh sleep aid, preferrably a jell. Make sure you won't have any distractions, eg.company banging at your door or a party go'in on somewhere close, maybe just a tv or soft music in the background, but no lights. Take one sleep aid for 3 nights same time and you should be back to normal. Don't make those pills a habit though, because they are addicting, you will get back into your sleep habits again .
Good luck!

You need to treat the holiday time as if you had traveled to another time zone. This may require staying up all day today and then sleeping at a more "normal" time for your schedule. You probably have not been off schedule long enough to really change your body rhythms. This takes a while. You just need to start hitting the sack at a more normal time before you head back to your work schedule.

You need to discipline yourself in going to bed at a reasonable time at night. The following also help:

1. Sweet Dreams Tea - herbal supplement provides smooth relaxing sleep.
2. Yoga or Tai Chi stretches (30 min.) before going to sleep.
3. Reflexology before sleep. (rubbing all the kinks out of your feet)
4. Hot tub with a little lavender or any relaxing scent.
5. Herbal relaxing creams which are available in any mall where you have the "Body Shop" or Health Food Store. I believe Victoria's Secret now carries the herbal hand creams for relaxation

Good luck...............

Hi Steve,
First of all, don't take naps at all. Stay up as long as possible before its your regular time to go to sleep. Don't drink ceffeine or excercise within a few hours of your sleep time. Don't watch TV in your bedroom. Hope this helps.

Simply go to bed 7 hrs before you have to get up. If you don't sleep, don't worry. Stay horizontal, quiet, in subdued light.

Make your body available for sleep. Trust nature.
