Is the bad attention due to having Mexican ancestry, or your bad English. Maybe they realize that you English is bad and that is why they are picking on you.
So long as you show that they are affecting you, they will continue. Trying to get back on them is only going to fuel the fire. You best bet is to turn their taunts into jokes, or just ignore them.
While not anything like what you face, or feel that you are, I've had people poke at me in similar ways. One place where I worked the theme of the harassment was because I was raised up north in New York state. I was a "Yankee" to them. So, I turned the tables on them with comments like "to the victor goes the spoils'. The point being, the north won the Civil War, and had a right to what they took from the south. I also told them that somebody had to make the south great again, they had not done a good job of it. My point, I turned what they said against them, and they couldn't argue with me about it. Be the better man, ignore them. Let them rant on. Once they realize that their taunts no long get to you, they'll lose interest, and find someone else to pick at. If you do bad things to them, it will only make things worse, as I have already said. Are you man enough to hold your peace, and leave them alone? If not, more bad will come and it will then be your fault.

Tell them that just because you're Mexican, it doesn't make you an illegal immigrant, it doesn't make you any less of an individual, it doesn't mean you don't have feelings.

Tell them you were born in the United States - you're a legal citizen. If they want to continue to talk smack about you it's because of their personal insecurities and ignorance.

If it gets worse speak to the teachers.. They are there to help you - and most of them really do care about their students.

Mexico gained that's independence from Spain in 1821. for this reason, they "owned" Arizona, Taxes, California and so on for 27 years in the previous we took it from them. The U.S. A has "owned" those state ever considering. it is 118 years. in the previous Mexico gained independence, Spain "owned" those places for some hundred years, and in the previous them the community people owned it constantly. So, do the maths and tell me returned who crossed who's borders.

Tell them that many Mexicans were here long before anyone else. They've been living in California since the 1700's.

Racists in Compton?
Odd to find such goings on in a predominately Black community. Sounds to me like there are some very big hypocrites in your school. Green cards do not apply to citizens of USA.

In fact, this sounds totally fabricated.

I would be like well I'm equal to YOU! You are an American tell them you didn't jump the border. Besides I would be like I love America. That's why so many people choose to be here, but tell them that you wished they were in Mexico... They aren't acting American.

Why don't you just ignore them? Who cares what other people think. Ignorance is bliss and there is no need to fuel that fire.

Just do well in school and be successful in your life. Those people that insult you will learn one way or another that they should have spent more time minding their own business rather than worrying about yours.

Join the fight against illegal immigration - that's a major reason there's such backlash against even legal Mexicans in the US. Don't worry, there are many legal Mexicans who are fighting those who are cheating the system - don't feel like you're betraying your people.

Well, you can always move to Mexico and tell them how bad it is in the USA. Why would mexicans want to live with us racists anyway?
