Any suggestions on what to put on the wall or nearby like plants to bring color in the room would be great! Thanks a bunch!

Oprah puts together brown and periwinkle blue in one of her homes--awesome combination! I've also seen brown and pink together and brown and a pale turquoise or aqua together. What other colors are in the room? Framing some prints in a beige or off white would make them "pop", as they say on HGTV. You could also frame your artwork display with decorative painted moldings.
P.S.--The next time you go to the grocery store, drug store, or book store, spend some time browsing through the magazines that feature interior decorating for some concrete ideas that you can see for yourself.

Go to HGTV.com. There are tons of great ideas on there for every type of decorating you can imagine!! Personally I love deep purples with brown, I'm getting ready to decorate my bathroom with brown and purple in mod circles. Good Luck and have fun!!

This really depends on what color your furnishings are. What you do on that wall needs to reflect those. Without any more info it would be tough to tell you what to put on that wall.
