Yes you can I had to think about it but only if its a sew in if its glued in don't do it because the glue will make the weave come out. But if it is a sewed in. As long as it's human hair, you can wash it like your own. Just be more gentle, if it's done well then it should not loosen at all. Just use detangler when you start to blow dry it.Just wash your hair with whatever shampoo u use. Then comb it through gently. Then blow dry it. But it is a few risk because if you don't know what u doing exactly the braids will unravel and you'll have a mess on top of your head. But I would recommend you go to a hair dresser and let them hook it up for u. Keep that weave nice gurl. Just don't use extra hot water use warm water. It doesn't matter what type of shampoo.

Hi
Massage your scalp with your fingers and stroke the weave when washing it, do not rub it as it will tangle, also put conditioner and the root must be dry under the hair dryer to avoid your weave lifting up at the roots, you can only do this if your weave is sewn not glued in.

race is so irrelevant in this question since britney spears and paris hilton sport weave more than anyone I know! I DO know that it all depends on the quality of the weave, acrylic sucks you really cant do much with it, but the indian hair is VERY expensive but you can do much more with it, like wash your hair, blow dry it and even use a curling iron.
They also have "dry" shampoo its a powder you put on the hair and shake it off it absorbs oil and smell.

Weave is weave, all races wear it. And yes, hair can be washed with "weave" attached to it.

If the weave is glued in no. If the weave is sowed is yes. Use a very small amout of shampoo and scrub lightly. Make sure to blow dry it completely dry. Then style it the way you want.

I have glued in extensions and my stylist said I could wash my hair just not scrub. So yes, I guess you could...washing it does dry it out though and makes it look kind of crappy

do you really think women(black or not) go weeks without washing their hair? maybe do some research... or just think about it for a few seconds longer.
