we been misjudging those two religions? Do they make more sense than the hateful Biblical interpretation which makes little children miserable sinners just because they have been born? Would it have been better if children were subjected to abortions under the Christian approach?

the bible teaches that "we are all born in sin". Children are not held responsible for their sin until they attain the age of reasoning. This is not some specific chronological age but is more like a developmental stage (read Piaget). Just because they are not sprinkled before they die they won't go to hell.
