The only one who knows God is God.
However the Bible tells us that it was God's pleasure to reveal Himself to mankind through Jesus Christ and through His Holy Spirit.
"No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father's side, has made him known." John 1:18
"At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure.
All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him."
Luke 10:21-22
"However, as it is written:
"No eye has seen,
no ear has heard,
no mind has conceived
what God has prepared for those who love him"— but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit.
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man's spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man's judgment:
"For who has known the mind of the Lord
that he may instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ."
I Corinthians 2:9-16
Only God can fully know God. However God is able to reveal His nature to us according to our capacity to receive it.
One must be born of the Spirit to receive the things of God, because God, as to His essence, is Spirit.

Oh this is easy. Because God has written down that information FOR US. What kind of a God would leave us in a world full of sin and danger and NOT leave us with an instruction book?
Not the God I serve.

Let me put it this way. Does anyone know exactly how Jesus turned water into wine or raised Lazarus from the dead or walked on water to his disciples? Hmm? Anybody? Didn't think so. God is the miracle. Jesus brought God to "earthly man" by His devine acts.

The moment I became a born-again Christian, something happened. God gave me the gift of faith and my life changed immediately. I knew Jesus was real and He has been with me ever since and I get to know Him better every day.

I know what God wants of me. He tells me all the time. Unfortunately nobody else believes me, which is why I'm stuck in this padded cell in a high-security psychiatric institution.

We can only know what he has chosen to reveal.....through the writers of the Bible, by the influence of the Holy Spirit, and his effect on our lives. As the Bible says, "Now we see as through dark-colored glasses, but some day we will see face to face."

One can only appreciate god or the devine through the wonders of life and our universe. To personify this force is oversimplification.

People claim all sorts of things, often without any proof.
The trouble only comes when others start believing them.
