I need some advice. I dont know what to do?

My boyfriend and I were out last night and his mom calls. Since I was in the car I heard the whole convo. She's never met me but hates that her son is dating me because of where I'm from. She also found out Im not very religious like she is and now seems to hate me even more. Its very upsetting to me because I'm a very nice girl. Im what most would call the "good girl" I never get into trouble, I dont drink, do drugs or party. Im very nice, sweet and poliet. But she told my boyfriend that he's changing and Im a bad influence on him. I hate being judged for things I can't really control. I dont think it's fair to judge me when they dont know much about me at all. He tells me not to worry about it and she gets like this with almost every girl he dates. But it still bothers me. He is very close with his family and I feel horrible that I'm the reason why they are fighting. BUt i dont want to stop seeing him and talkingto him. We get along great and have a great time together.

It comes down to YOU confronting THEM. Yea I know, I know it should be in his court, but us kids, do a poor job of confronting our parents, they know us to well, besides that YOU defending YOU means SO MUCH about WHO you are, honest! See thats really, deep-down, all she could ever want for her son. A woman who can fight for her love, and hunnie that be the best way, because like you said you have nothing to hide, you've got the truth on your side! Just worry about the religion thats always a.... sore subject because it really doesn't fit into the modern world, but you can counter such arguements with the fact that you've done good for youself without having to enter a church. Besides another good ones the fact that christianity gives you time to redefine yourself, so you can sort of explain that away with you and your man there are talking about this, and just havn't descided which way to go.... or better yet listen to his approach.... this isn't going to be easy, but by the fact that YOU are willing to defend yourself, specks volumes about you and your charater, aside form that she can think whatever she wants, she never met you and she loves her son..... mothers right......
