Dear Sailcat64:

Now you’re talking about the celestial heaven and if the gates are up and armed, it's to protect people, animals, and all other living things from outside predators - of course. Why would anyone put up a fence? Here's your answer for your protection from an outside force that is evil and mean that would destroy your life treasures including murther of a body either human or animal is one in the same, steal from your property from food, materials, and/or other belongings or a body either human or animal that will create an ongoing live vision of arguments. Those outsider’s would be the terrorist of the planet that do cause pain and sorrow to innocent lives on a daily basis such as robbing animals lives by murther or humans while living here on the planet earth.

Sincerely,

Gated communities on Earth have rich people inside and poor people outside. Isn't that what gates have always been for?

Revelation 22:14 Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates. 15 Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

Heaven doesn't "need" gates..... and they are always open anyway.

See Revelation 21:25 and it's Old Testament prefigurement of Isaiah 60:11

THE REVELATION
OF ST JOHN THE DIVINE
CHAPTER 21

25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.

Isaiah 60:11
11 Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.

The demonstrators who's against any gate or fence! They consider it as a volation of souls right, that they just want to come to heaven to do the jobs that the angels didn't want to do!

in the book of revelation it describes a few types of people that are outside the temples, even though it also says there is no temple, those that are restricted are those that are not citizens of the kingdom of God.
to expand the question even further, only the sons of perdition are cast out into outdarkness. Where the kingdom of God is all light.
in the days of moses Miriam was cast out of Israel with another, they were plagued with leperosy, the symbolic act of being cast out represents those that who will not live in the society of God.
The list of those that are not in the temple includes: fornicaters, whoremongers, liars and thieves. and a few others i cannot remember

Heaven like Hell are nothing more than inventions by man to instill fear. Fear of not going to some wonderful place or going to the fiery furnace for not believing or not walking around blindly by faith believing in their man made god.
