It is the same wherever people slaughter each other in the name of selfishness rather than in the name of God.
Who do you think the drug cartels are murdering in the name of? Not God, but themselves, this is atheist.
What about the people slaughtering for control of the diamond trade in places like Sierra Leone?
Again atheist.
What about the Dictator Worship of Kim IL Song?
Not a religion, but again, atheism!
I know that atheists typically deny that people slaughter one another in the name of something other than religion, but history bears out the falsehood of their claims.

certainly is is a methods closer to over 200 million human beings have been killed by using socialist/ communist governments on condition that 1917. This includes the U.S., Communist China, and Nazi Germany, the two for the time of conflict and in peace. Over 50 million chinese language have been eradicated in China on my own in the process the 1960's. yet another 50+ million have even killed in the process the time that the U.S. existed. The Nazis are purely approximately 15 to twenty million. Then once you upload the different deaths from smaller socialist countries, like Cambodia, and Fascist Italy for example, the numbers upload as much as the 200 million mark. to place it into perspective, socialist have killed extra human beings interior the previous a hundred years, then in each and all of the wars in 5000 years of human historic past until now the commencing up of WWI blended.

So those people Stalin killed. Were they all (or mostly) religious? Or even merely slightly different Atheists than Stalin?
I think you'll find they were all, to the extent that there actually was a reason for their deaths, thought of as being less than enthusiastic about Stalin. The paranoid Stalin had 'death quotas' for all of his districts, and if you didn't have enough suspects, you had to come up with a few.
Yes, Stalin probably was an Atheist. But more than anything, he was a Stalinist. I think that matters.

At the risk of repeating a tired old line, "The actions of the few do not dictate the actions of the many."
Stalin & Lenin did not kill in the name of atheism. They killed in the name of politics. Atheism was merely a tool for them - because they wanted to control their people, to the point of controlling their beliefs.
Hitler did not kill in the name of Christianity, he killed in the name of white supremacy. Like Stalin & Lenin, he used an ideology to further his goals and justify his actions (thus, "Gott Mitt Uns" as the Nazi motto). It's all the same, really.
We non-Christians (most of us, anyway) do understand that not all Christians are like Hitler or Torquemada. You should learn the same about atheists.
Most atheists believe in freedom of religion, and don't care what anyone else believes religion-wise (though there is the minority of militant atheists, but they are generally disliked by everyone).

You fundies never cease to amaze and amuse me with just how dense you really are.
The levels of "don't-get-it-edness" just keeps growing with you all. Let's first examine the fact that you can't even spell Lenin's name properly. This shows that you have very little educational background and should really reconsider that trip to Disney Land and opt for a college degree.
Second, let's look at the fact that you are trying to compare apples to Buicks by saying that Communism is "ALSO" a political movement. Are you claiming that religion is a political movement? Or are you trying to convince people that religious and political movements are different sides of the same coin? Either way.. you fail, because you are wrong. Political movements are about.... *brace yourself*... POLITICS. Religious movements, on the other hand are about brainwashing millions into believing in your myths and superstitions, and killing them if the brainwashing doesn't work.
Finally, Hitler WAS A CHRISTER. A big ol' faith-head who killed the Jews because his imaginary friend told him to. He admitted such in Mein Kampf. He was convinced that he was doing the lard's work.. er.. I mean the lord's work. Dictators like Stalin and Lenin slaughtered the multitudes because of political opposition. Pick up a history book, will ya?
One more thing.. I specifically wanted to comment on the post from this intellectual midget.
Foxtrot--"It is the same wherever people slaughter each other in the name of selfishness rather than in the name of God.
Who do you think the drug cartels are murdering in the name of? Not God, but themselves, this is atheist."
NOT atheist. Just not particularly motivated by their religious standing, of which they DO have, statistically speaking. Seeing as how the Latin community has a seriously high adherence to religious belief, it would be silly to assume that these cartels are NOT religious individuals. Whether their crimes are religiously motivated or not is irrelevant.
Foxtrot--"What about the people slaughtering for control of the diamond trade in places like Sierra Leone?
Again atheist."
NOT atheist, and may even lean into being influenced by, if not full out motivated by religion. How so? Religion is the mother of ignorance, hatred and bigotry. It causes its followers to think of themselves as better than others.. REF: Ever heard the phrase "god's chosen people"?.. In places like Sierra Leone, you have bigots who feel they are entitled to commit the atrocities they commit, in the name of their superiority, which is based on their belief that their invisible sky-daddy has a bigger penis than anyone else's invisible sky-daddy. So, we'll count this as religiously influenced.
Foxtrot--"What about the Dictator Worship of Kim IL Song?
Not a religion, but again, atheism!"
MOST DEFINITELY NOT atheism. 100% religious. Kim Il-sung (again, please get an education and quit making yourself look more intellectually stunted by slaughtering the names of "important people in world history") had convinced the population that he WAS god.. or a god. Just because it wasn't YOUR paternal sky-faerie and YOUR jewish zombie, and their silly religion that was being worshiped, doesn't mean it wasn't a religion. People were murdered because they didn't subscribe to the belief that Kim Il-sung was, in fact a deity. THAT is why he and even Pol Pot actually fall under the heading of RELIGIOUS LEADERS.
Foxtrot--"I know that atheists typically deny that people slaughter one another in the name of something other than religion, but history bears out the falsehood of their claims. "
What about those "falsehoods"? I, for one am still waiting to see one. When you can provide one, do let me know.

The fact that they were all communists should tell you something. They did not kill because of atheism. They killed because of their communist-based ideology, of which atheism happened to be a part.
What is this supposed to prove anyway? That atheists are monsters? Then what about the hundreds of millions of atheists who *aren't* monsters? You can't generalize a whole class of people whose only link is what they *don't* believe, based on the worst of them. Would you like it if i generalized all Christians based on Adolf Hitler?
Talk to atheists. You'll find that most of us, although generally opposed to religion, are zealous defenders of *freedom* of religion. Most of us are not communists. Most of us are against mass murder.
P.S. Just because *some* atheists are monsters doesn't mean that God exists. Lest you forget.

Stalin didn't kill people because they believed in God and he didn't. He killed political enemies that barred his way in a misguided attempt to create an impossibly perfect utopian state.
Christians in the crusades were trying to take back what they believed was in the hands of "heathens" - the Muslims that had differing religious views.
In Iraq, Sunnis and Shi'as are killing each other because of their differing Religious views.
Nice try.

Well I always thought of Stalin as a Communist, not Atheist.
Like I always thought of Hitler as a fascist, not Christian.
Crusades (1095-1291)
* First Crusade: 1095 on command of pope Urban II. [WW11-41]
* Semlin/Hungary 6/24/96 thousands slain. Wieselburg/Hungary 6/12/96 thousands. [WW23]
* 9/9/96-9/26/96 Nikaia, Xerigordon (then turkish), thousands respectively. [WW25-27]
* Until Jan 1098 a total of 40 capital cities and 200 castles conquered (number of slain unknown) [WW30]
* after 6/3/98 Antiochia (then turkish) conquered, between 10,000 and 60,000 slain. 6/28/98 100,000 Turks (incl. women & children) killed. [WW32-35]
Here the Christians "did no other harm to the women found in [the enemy's] tents - save that they ran their lances through their bellies," according to Christian chronicler Fulcher of Chartres. [EC60]
* Marra (Maraat an-numan) 12/11/98 thousands killed. Because of the subsequent famine "the already stinking corpses of the enemies were eaten by the Christians" said chronicler Albert Aquensis. [WW36]
* Jerusalem conquered 7/15/1099 more than 60,000 victims (jewish, muslim, men, women, children). [WW37-40]
(In the words of one witness: "there [in front of Solomon's temple] was such a carnage that our people were wading ankle-deep in the blood of our foes", and after that "happily and crying for joy our people marched to our Saviour's tomb, to honour it and to pay off our debt of gratitude")
* The Archbishop of Tyre, eye-witness, wrote: "It was impossible to look upon the vast numbers of the slain without horror; everywhere lay fragments of human bodies, and the very ground was covered with the blood of the slain. It was not alone the spectacle of headless bodies and mutilated limbs strewn in all directions that roused the horror of all who looked upon them. Still more dreadful was it to gaze upon the victors themselves, dripping with blood from head to foot, an ominous sight which brought terror to all who met them. It is reported that within the Temple enclosure alone about ten thousand infidels perished." [TG79]
* Christian chronicler Eckehard of Aura noted that "even the following summer in all of palestine the air was polluted by the stench of decomposition". One million victims of the first crusade alone. [WW41]
* Battle of Askalon, 8/12/1099. 200,000 heathens slaughtered "in the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ". [WW45]
* Fourth crusade: 4/12/1204 Constantinople sacked, number of victims unknown, numerous thousands, many of them Christian. [WW141-148]
Rest of Crusades in less detail: until the fall of Akkon 1291 probably 20 million victims (in the Holy land and Arab/Turkish areas alone).
I could go on but huge posts are annoying. But I think you get the picture.
Christians have always destroyed, those who don't convert are evil and must be killed.
Very Christ like of you.

wow, what a desperate way to try to defend the atrocities of xians.
by the way, neither Stalin nor Lenin (not Lenon) ordered people killed because of religion, they were quite content to kill people for other reasons, so your desperate analogy fails as badly as your zombie cultism.
