Do we have a chance????

Question

to become famous we are 13 and have taken voice lessons since we were 9 and we wright songs about being your self and stuff that gives girls confidence......The only thing is we don't know how to get noticed and/or do we have a chance to be up there with Hillary Duff, Taylor Swift, and Hayden P

First, you have to have your parents complete and total commitment to you and the career you seem to want. Just taking voice lessons is only a part. Continue to write songs. Learn an instrument if possible. Learn to dance. Act. Speak. These are all courses you can take in school. Study and be aware of what's going on in the world. If you have any of your songs that are complete, try to get them recorded. This is where your parents will need to be first, and farmost involved. It can be expensive to record, but that's the only way you can have a chance to allow other professionals to 'hear you'. If you have a music teacher in your school - get that person involved - allow him/her to listen to you - watch your group - determine if you have 'something unique'.

Let me be honest with you - the opportunities are so slim out there . When I was in the business, I used to receive 100-200 mailings a week of solicited AND unsolicited materal from young people like you - who wanted to become stars. There are so many youngsters who want to be stars, but don't have any idea how to get there and some are not even close, *Do you watch American Idol?

If you really have something - live in a town where there are opportunities to perform - go for it - but make sure you have your parents blessings.......
