One night my cat Ayla did something strange that she's never done before. She came out from the front room while I was sitting on my couch watching TV, and she frooze as soon as she saw me. She just stayed there, and puffed out her tail not taking her eyes off me. I'll admit it, it kind of freaked me out. I thought she was gonna attack me or something XP So, I got up and went to bed since it was very late as it is, and while I walked to my room slowly, Ayla was STILL eyeing me!
Can anyone think WHY she did this? She never did this before since we've had her from 2005. She's also an indoor cat, so, it's not like she came from outside...

We had a hat that if we put it on myself or my sig. other, one of our cats immediately froze and her pupils got huge and she started puffing up. We take it off, everything was ok. Show her the hat, everything was ok, put it on backwards, evrything was ok. But put it back on the right way--OOOOOOOoooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh

We figured it was a haunted hat. She responded to it the same way for 2 weeks! We'd test her with it occasionally. But after it was stored away for the winter and then brought out again in summer, she was ok with it then.

I think sometimes they just see things weird and it freaks them. Like when they discover the electrical cord across the room that's been there for two years, yet they have to approach it like it's brand new and has teeth.

Has she been spayed? while a woman cat is able to mate, the male will bit the scruff of the back of her neck and the female will develop her hind end to contemporary herself to the male. Your cat could be responding on your petting in this manner, exceedingly if she's going into warmth or if she's been bred interior the previous.
