900-1200 calories with that much exercise you'll lose 5-6 pounds a week

Most of it being muscle mass.

The slower and healthier you lose weight the more fat you actually lose
The faster and the more you deprive your body the more muscle tissue you will lose
Just because youll lose 5-6 pounds wont mean its fat pounds, it will be mostly muscle tissue

how effective "your" exercise routine is will depend on the source of the nutrients that you ingest. processed foods are no good for the body regardless of what the manufacture or label may claim. the less processed foods in your diet the healthier you will be and the faster you will see positive results from regular exercise. human beings are designed to ingest whole foods, all natural foods and not manufactured foods made from company a, b and c.

also don't decrease your caloric intake and increase the level of exercise at the same time. this acts as trauma to the body and will cause it to hold onto fat stores not release them. first increase your level of exercise for several weeks while slowly dropping your calories by 10% each week.

I don't think you can do that all. I'm not saying it's too much, but people tend to get lazy. I think if you want to lose 17 pounds (although you don't need to..) you need to just eat healthier and excersize more. Don't just eat 900 calories, you need more. Replace fatty foods or more of your carbs and extras with vegetables..or fruit. Run for 30 minutes, don't walk. Work on getting faster or going for longer. Try getting healthy, not trying to drop pounds and you'll feel better about yourself, and see the effects!

Well instead of having sweet things, you can substitute it for fruit. Cut up different kinds and you could even mix some diet 7up in there and have a delicious fruit salad. Meal plan- ~Breakfast:3 egg whites, piece of whole grain toast, half a grapefruit ~Snack 1: Cottage cheese with fruit mixed in ~Lunch: Tuna salad wrapped in big leaves of lettuce, side of whole grain rice ~Dinner: Boneless, skinless chicken breast with lemon juice sprinkled on it (you can buy some already cooked and packaged chicken breast and all you have to do is heat it up), salad with light dressing, and a serving of fruit ~Snack 2: Yogurt and a granola bar. This is just one simple meal plan that doesnt take much time to prepare. Remember, it isn't what you eat, it's how much you eat. Make sure you only have the serving size of whatever you choose to eat.

You will probably be at your target weight within 2 or 3 months.

Your calorie intake will not be sufficient to maintain that level of exercise.
