Being a reserved person is starting to really affect my life.. I dont have many people in my life to talk to and have fun with....and it gets me kinda depressed... I'm not used to getting myself into social situations that get me to interact with people. What can i do to be different.. It seems so difficult in my depressed mind...

I don't think there is anything wrong with being shy and reserved. You can still have a social life. I think you could join civic organizations, get involved in church and maybe they have some groups you can belong to. Often you have to get involved in something else and friendships and relationships come after. By joining groups of people with similar interests you will meet people with interests like yours, and that is a good start. Many times there are things to do which takes pressure off of interacting. People will eventually interact with you. At the same time you develop the social skills you need to develop relationships and become less shy. There are many more people who are shy than are out-going - which is part of the problem. So don't feel bad. Dive in - you'll get used to the water.

Try to come out of your shell a little bit. If you can't do it without anxiety then you may want to see a doctor to help you with maybe medication therapy. I am Bipolar and I have hardly anyone to talk to even my husband turns his back on me and that hurts. I get accused of doing all kind of things that I didn't do. I hope that you can find some help. Good Luck
