Please Only Rate these answers. (1-10) I will choose best answer. I know some of these are horrible, I just want to see how many people like them and use them. Also, I will check back and comment on some of the answers.

On a scale of 1-10 (10 being highest) I would rate Canidae All Life as a solid 9. My research has shown it to be very high in essential nutrients in the right order. Nature's Recipe ,Science Diet and Wellness are, I would say, maybe a 6.
I avoid Purina, especially dry. A good quality food has a specific meat source (i.e. chicken, not poultry) as 1 of the first 5 ingredients. More protein sources higher up on the list is better.
No animal digest and no by-products.

Innova Evo 10 Great food, pricey

Avoderm 6 Too many of their formulas start out with grain as the first ingredient

Eukanuba 7 It's an ok food, I could feed it without feeling guilty

Beneful 3 Junk, lots of pretty colors and good ads though!

Iams 6 Over rated

Nature's Recipe 8 Pretty good food. I could feed it comfortably

Natural Balance 8 Another good one that I could feed to my dogs

Purina 4 Junk but great advertising....

Science Diet 4 Junk but smart enough to the one to get themselves planted on almost every Vets' shelves.

Wellness 9 Very good food

Solid Gold 10 I feed this and am very happy with it. Using the Millennia right now.

These are 10, because they have more good ingredients, on the label: Canidae, Innova, Wellness, Solid Gold

These are good, and get a 7, with fewer ingredients:
Avoderm, Natures Recipe, Natural Balance

The rest are OK dog foods, on the low end of the scale 2 -3, because they don't have lots of meat, but the quality of their ingredients is the same as the quality of the same ingredients in the other dog foods... They just don't have as much of the good stuff, or the same stuff.

BTW, I like Purina (and Purina Pro), because the nutrition is adequate for a long healthy life. The other brands have more efficient nutrition... but I figure that people don't eat the most efficient nutrition (even organic food isn't always best.). I feed my puppies very high quality to get them going right.... then I switch to Purina ... for the next 17 years !!!!

I love Evo. I tell my clients all the time to try it, and ALL have had fantastic results. It's the only 10 on your list in my opinion. It's all I will feed. I know of some breeders that love Canidae and Avoderm. A couple really like Natural Balance. But because of the results I see with Evo, as compared to dogs eating those other food i mentioned, I will give them a 7 on a scale of 1-10. All other foods you mentioned are a zero!! Nothing but junk and man made chemicals. It's amazing what these companies put in their foods. I've seen Evo take unhealthy, bald, and mangy dogs to beautuful animals full of energy with shiny, soft full coats in a matter of months. Non of the other foods on your list have proved themselves (to me anyway) to be that incredible. Vets always recommend those "other foods" i mentioned because they sell them. They make a profit and get "kick back sales". They want our dogs to be unhealthy. 99% of health problems are diet related. From bad coats to cancer!! If all dogs ate their natural diet, a diet meant for them, such as a raw diet full of veggies meat and fruits, these vets wouldn't be as wealthy as they are. You mentioned Innova Evo, which is not the same as EVO. Innova has grain in it, which is not easily digested and can cause some allergic reactions in some dogs. Evo has no grain in it.

Innova, Canidae,Wellness & Solid Gold are all very good foods.
Nature's balance & Nature's Recipie are ok foods but there are better.

I don't know much about Avoderm so can't comment on this food.

Science Diet, Purina, IAMS, Eukanuba are all low quality foods.

Beneful is one of the worst foods.
