How does anyone know what nothingness is? The dissolution is into infinity, where the subtle consciousness sees everthing as it really is.

Before I became a Christian I had no fear of death because I believed that I was 'good enough' to get to heaven. When I met Jesus I realised that I would never be good enough and i needed to accept the free gift of salvation in order to be sure of my eternal destiny. I am still not afraid to die. In fact if one does not believe in hell, then one will not be afraid of it. I don't believe that anyone can be 'frightened' into becoming a Christian.

no religious people dont believe because they fear death....alot of christians i would say actually in a way look forward to death because that means that they are finally going to be with the creator of the universe adn live forever with him.....christians believe because they have a very strong faith that there si a God who died on the cross for us and he loves us very much....personally i would rather believe in God and in the end find out i was wrong than be an athiest or something and find out that it all was true then go to hell.

The only thing I fear is that I might not be good enough to get into heaven. But I have a absolute believe in my maker and not one shadow of doubt.

Atheists believe neither in God, Heaven or Hell.
You cannot fear what you do NOT believe.

Atheists hold no belief in heaven or hell. I would like to say I wish them luck, but I don't believe in luck.

i used to be atheist now i'm christian.

it's nothing to do with death or fear or needing a crutch. Being a christian takes more courage than being an atheist. its hard! its to do with realising the truth and having it really work for you, not a theory, but a practical truth.

No - fear is not a good driver to lead people to believe.

Death is the only certainty in life, so it's pointless being afraid of it.
