I am 7 months pregnant and im single. Well, the father of my baby started threatening to take my baby from me. I don't know what to do. I don't want him around Morgan(my daughter to be) because he has a bad temper and the people in his home smoke indoors. I am worried about her safety and want to know if there is anything I can do...

I dont thinkl he can take the baby away from myou without a reason and especially since you haven't done anything to the child, and we know this because morgan isn't even born, yet, if you want this man to be a part of maorgans life then you should set boandries around morgan, second hand smoke could kill your babies lungs explain that to him, I f you dont want him to be a part of morgans life and it ends up in court bring that up....I wish you the best of luck and congrats on baby morgan

First hed have to prove to the courts his evidence for having you ruled unfit to be a mother which would be child and/or drug/mental abuse via actual police or medical reports. Now you will have to provide the courts with solid evidence to terminate or drastically alter his visitation rights. You would have to prove that dad would put the child in a dangerous environment and smoking doesnt qualify to justify your fears of her safety. The courts dont work on hearsay so please dont use it and get the Judge mad at you. The most you could possibly get would be supervised with no over night visits and that will be almost impossible to get here. Good luck

if you are capable of taking care of her,theres not a whole lot they can do. judges favor the mother as long as shes fit to raise a child. choosing to breast feed will also look good on your part but its painful the first week. after your baby is born ,he has no rights to her,even to see her after shes born unless he goes to a lawyer ,then to court.so dont tell him anything and see how far he will go. let him say what he wants and make him think you believe him. that will give you more time to take the steps you need to make sure she is with you. talk to a lawyer and see what you need to do.

Your boy friend has no right to take the baby away from you without your permission. If he will ever do that, you can file a criminal case against him.

He can't do that anyhow he would have to prove it in court that your an unfit parent that would be the ONLY way he can take her from you.
