The text infers that it happened "before" the creation of Adam and Eve. There is general opinion that there is a gap between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2 because the text notes that the earth "became" a void. It is thought that this was caused by the fall of Lucifer and his horde.
Note that even though the now Satan has fallen, he still has access to the throne of God in order to accuse the brethren. A good movie to watch to see as an analogy is "First Knight".

It took place before the modern types of humans (Adam and Eve were created). Lucifer was the god-king of ancient Atlantis and decided to use advanced technology to overthrow God and the heavenly hosts. If you read the first chapter of Genesis correctly, it will explain that God had to recreate the Earth again. The first Earth had Atlantis and humans that were not quite the same type as humans now. Dinosaurs and other animals that are extinct now were also around back then. God wiped them all out because they became evil and corrupted.

Before the creation of Adam and Eve. I believe that God gave the earth to satan before the fall when he was being good. Then there was a war, the bad angels were cast out and the earth became all messed up. God took the earth and redid it and gave it to Adam and Eve. The only way that satan could get it back was for them to sin. Then Jesus came and took it back from satan and gave it to His believers. Now, we are suppose to have dominion over the earth and put satan under our feet.

Genesis 6:2 - 6:4 talks of the 'sons of God', and of the 'Nephilim'. If I remember correctly, Nephilim is Hebrew for 'fallen ones' or something similar, and 'sons of God' refers to the same. This would tend to suggest that Angels fell before the line of Adam and Eve was established.

I think Lucifer fell before Adam and Eve, as God created the Angels first.

Before. He had already been cast from heaven and was Satan, and on earth when he came in the form of a snake or serpent to tempt Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden.

It still hasn't taken place, not if you mean his fall from heaven. That is still future and is recorded in the book of revelation. The account of it in Isaiah is a prophecy of a future event. Satan still has access to heaven now, and is continually seeking to "accuse the brethren" before the throne of God.
Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.
10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, "Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night.
So, how could Satan have sinned and fallen before Adam and Eve if God pronounced that His whole creation was "good" after He completed His creating Adam and Eve?
