Here's the thing. I'm a student and I only have a 10 month tenancy agreement. In order to watch TV in my room I have to get cable activated which i would apparently have to do with Virgin media.
I read their terms and conditions today and it said I'd have to have a tenancy agreement for at least 12 months in order to have them install cable at my place.
Does anyone know abouth another way?

I actually don't want to go with them because I will have to get their phone service too which I don't need at all.

Please help!

The only problem with sky these days is they have a tie in with bt so you also have to have bt phone line as well and both have a minimum 12 months contract but with sky you can have it refitted elsewhere but have to pay a charge for new fit up as was mentioned earlier you could try a digibox(freeview) with indoor powered aerial cheapest option but less channels its a trade off

If you just want television you can just try a aerial extension and try one of those digi box / set top boxes. If signal is low you can buy a signal booster.
If not there is a device that will transmit what ever your main tele is tuned into and it transmits it to another television. Try Curries or Comet for these.
