Hi, I work in a cosy little office at a job that I love, but I'm having real troubles with my co-workers. They're nice but they keep opening windows, even on very cold days. And they give me my space, but TOO much space. When I stay in the office for lunch, they all go out, and vice versa. Plus they keep stinking the place up with air-fresheners. How can I deal with these freaks tactfully?

tell them the truth, just admit that you voted lib-dem in the last election and that you shouldn't be persecuted for your beliefs. ps: you probably just stink. go have a shower.

Talk to your boss. Explain the situation about the air fresheners. Some people have a problem with scents (allergies) and many work places ban them and heavy use of perfumes and aftershave lotions.
If you do have a problem with body odor, your boss will tell you (and probably should have told you by now before all of this started happening). You can ask him/her if you have done something to offend everyone (a good way for your boss to be honest with you if you have a BO problem; don't fault your boss-he/she is trying to help you).
If it's not a B.O. problem, then you may need to start being a little more friendly with your "weird" colleagues. Do you talk with them about other things than work-related matters, like asking them about a good place to eat lunch or asking them about a movie or something? You don't say how long you have worked at your current job, but maybe they need time to get to know you as a person.
If all else fails, it is time to look for a new job. Good luck.

Well if you get cold easily bring a sweatshirt/sweater to work.. If you get cold you can put it on... As for air freshners they really shouldn't be around some people have allergies. Also, if they are giving you space is that because you may have an offensive odor? I would bring an extra stick of deodorant and re-apply it BEFORE lunch.. Maybe you stink and no one wants to tell you., if it's your breath maybe brush your teeth after your lunch break..... Good luck

The place of work supervisor (married) replaced into for sure having a fling with between the receptionists. This replaced into until now interior the 70's. It replaced into glaring to all interior the front place of work. She might bypass his table and discretely (she theory) hand him a be conscious while she delivered some papers for him to sign. He'd bypass her table and tell her (quietly, yet so we could hear) that she needed to run papers throughout the time of city to a various place of work. She'd go away and 5 minutes later he'd say he had a gathering with a customer and he or she'd come back in approximately an hour and he'd come back 10 minutes after her. occurred many circumstances and it replaced into confusing to maintain a promptly face while they walked in after their "errands."

Hey, maybe you can drop some hints. Like the next time they open a window put on your heavy jacket. Tell them you are sooo allergic to some things but espeically heavy scents like perfumes, etc. Or next time they go to lunch ask them straight up if you can join them sometime. If all that fails and you could always just be totally honest with them and be clear that you're not trying to offend anyone. And if that doesn't work...you're almost screwed because you don't want to make any enemies!

just tell the bit'ches to keep the window shut. 90 percent of whores dont walk the streets they work in offices instead. you have a very severe case of twofacedwhoredom. eradicate it with eating garlic laden kebabs and make sure you only wash your pits and scrot box with unscented soap. come this summer you can make all the noise you want about "their smell" office whores stink when enclosed in a small area. i used to work in a warehouse and i swear i could smell the cu'nts from the sales office upwind from 100 yards

Just relax and accept their differences. You said they were nice so I'm sure if you talk to them about the windows (which they may be opening due to the air-fresheners?) etc... they would consider your feelings. Maybe they feel like you don't want to be around them. Check how you are acting around them. Maybe you are unintentionally being standoffish.

Is it possible you have a body odor problem and you don't realize it? Or are you a heavy smoker and your clothes smell? It seems like they are trying to get a point across about you smelling or something. I'm not trying to be mean, but this is what I get of the situation.
