I want a good camera with interchangeable lenses, aperature settings and length of exposure settings. If you know anywhere that I can order one at a discount, that would be fantastic, but basically I am looking for the type of camera you recommend. Thanks!

Canon is a good camera, it has many accessories and lenses available. I would suggest you buy the latest one you can get your hands on that is within your budget.
I personally own an Olympus E-500 (there are newer ones) but it is quite a good camera, has less lenses and accessories but still enough to get any photographer excited. It's a little cheaper (which is why i decided to get it).
I think its about how much money you have to spend and what you want to use it for.

You don't say where you are in the world.

It really depends what sort of work you want to do and of course the biggest concern......money. How much of your hard earned cash are you spending on this camera?

I would go for a Canon 20D or a Nikon D200 at 8 and 10MP respectively.

I would very highly recommend the Canon 30D. It does everything that I need it to do, way better than my Canon Digital Rebel. I have never had any problems with it at all.
