that the atheists on this forum have a much better standard of spelling and grammar than the theists?

It's not always true, some atheists also display inferior spelling and grammar on this forum. But do you have a point about the spelling and grammar of some people on YA.

"i as a atheist is ten times smarter than your smartest christian!"
Should start "I as an atheist am" according to the rules of grammar, Christian is usually capitalised. Could also be improved by replacing "your" with "the".

"thay can put it into the myth section where it belongs in with the fairy tales"
"thay" is not a English word, even if the spell-checker doesn't detect it.

There's an old bloke who lives down the road from me.
Whenever he sees me (or anyone else come to that) he corners them and tries to ram religion down our throat.

He has no other topic of conversation. It's Jesus this, and Jesus that.
I've had this for 11 years, since I moved to this house.

He, and other's like him, obviously don't realise that they are having the opposite effect to the one they are looking for. They actually turn people off of religion.
They are boring and people try to give them a wide berth.

The best way to teach religion is by example.
Be happy, polite etc but don't turn every damn subject into religion.

Re this old man. Once I tried to change the subject completely. I said to him you must have other interests? What about football?

"Oh yes, I love football," he answered. "When I was younger I played football for our church. Before every game we would kneel and make the sign of the cross and . . . . at that point I walked away.

Well you see, all of those Sundays that the theists spend in church, we are out bettering ourselves. We learn all seven days of the week and don't take Sunday to rest!

It's too bad the bible doesn't have more useful information, like proper spelling and grammar.

It is an old joke now, but that is what you get from Intelligent Design.

It all comes down to this fact; we read lots and lots of, factual, books about religion. The Christians only read one! and that is fictional.

It's quite obvious. I think home schooling is to blame.

Yes, I have noticed, but didn't think much of it. I thought it just kind of fit in with their avoidance of thinking and knowledge.
