The bible shows us that God tests all his people in various ways, for example, the trials Job endured, as well as the teptations Jesus overcame. The idea of God not existing is a choice to not recognise the works before us, our not hearing the knock at the door when we've called out to him. God's plan has been long ago set in motion and is far beyond the reaches of any human mind.

It is what it is. He always appears summoned or not. God is in our hearts. God does not allow per se because everything is as it should be there is no such thing as coincidence or accidental.
We are all inter connected and are part of a cosmic energy we call God.
To pray to God is a simple gesture of acknowledgment. To ask God for something to change is futile as everything will be fine and we need to just accept.
Funny how you worded this question you put God & us in the same sentence. I think you are not in touch with how you really feel. It's whats commonly called a Freudian Slip.

Not unless you are a believer. God operates the universe on HIS "purely rational /logical/intelligible principles " not man's. All of mans wisdom is foolishness with God. God is not testing you, since you do not believe in him. But he does test those who love him. He has tested me. I testify that if you will believe on the Lord Jesus Christ you shall be saved.
1 Corinthians 3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
1 Peter 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
Acts 2:21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Come to Christ!!!!!

He certainly works in mysterious ways, like creating the universe 6000 years ago but making it look as if it was billions of years old, and leaving us a testament that is morally abhorrent and chock full of contradictions and implausibilities. What is even more mysterious is that so many people are willing to worship the guy despite all this!

God can communicate with us in many ways Bob. I only came to believe in Him after many years.(and that was a gift) When I open the Holy Bible now and read--certain truths leap out at me and I get a tingling sensation all over my body. I have also had a supernatural experience. These are very real to me. I had to step out in faith with an open mind and pick the book up before I could experience understanding the truth of it.
One of the things Christ said was "I am the way,the truth and the life. That is a good statement to meditate on.

I feel this is not the right approach.
Logic and faith are two very different things. It is okay for people to believe what they want, and since it is impossible to prove opinions wrong or right, trying to do so is pointless. It will just cause strife.

You want to summon God? Fellah, you're never outside the body of the Almighty. His ways are not your ways. I have seen Jesus heal the blind, and he's healed my heart. You must seek his face before you find him.

God said he would never test us more than we could bear.
Many of the things occurring in the Universe have nothing to do with God. You forget that there is a roaring lion called Satan roaming the earth to see who he can devour. :o)

OF COURSE GOD IS TESTING US , WHY DO YOU THINK WE ARE ON THIS PLANET ? IN CASE YOU DON'T KNOW IT WE ARE HERE BECAUSE OF SATINS AND 1/3 OF THE ANGLES FALL , IT'S OUR CHANCE TO REDEEM OUR SELVES FOR THE PART OR ROLE WE PLAYED WHEN WE ALSO WERE SPIRITS IN HEAVEN. ACCEPT JESUS AS YOUR LORD , LIVE A LIFE OF OBEDIENCE AND YOU WILL PASS YOUR TEST . HAVE A GOOD LIFE

he may have made it like that in the beginning by choosing to be unseen unless you actually seek his face. so yes that could be possible he may be testing everyone to see who loves him enough to seek him and have faith in him even though everyone cannot see him. because he can be seen but you have to seek his face. hes not gonna just show up out of the blue. you have to want to see him then he will show himself to you when he thinks your ready.
