is effectively countered by "it is better to have loved, and lost, than to have never loved at all"
When you do the rock/island thing you cut yourself off from all the good stuff, as well as the potential bad.
I can't keep it up for long anyway (sulking that is)

Yes, being a rock could come in handy. Hearts are just too fragile.

No, but I guess evolutionsts must think that at one time we were all rocks. Then somehow life was added to material.
