Heya. I'm moving from OZ to BC to live and wanted to know if there are any good surf beaches for fishing and surfing on the BC coast or Vancouver Island. Thanks.

Your best bet is the open Ocean as most of the Urban areas on the coast are sheltered. You are looking for West Coast Vancouver Island like Tofino and Port Renfrew.
The Ocean is colder here than Oz.
Fishing is good everywhere.

there is surf, gazing the wind and tide situations - out in direction of Jericho. yet there is greater advantageous surf alongside the sea to Sky street, up around Porteau Cove. And staggering surf over in Tofino.
