My lady. She loves this song and knows I think about her every time I listen to it. She has been the bridge for me and more... she has brought me back to myself, to whatever is good in me; she loves me unconditionally; she doesn't have a mean bone in her body. The woman spends all of her time helping others - she is the kindest, most endearing and compassionate person you will ever know, and for some strange reason, she's in love with ME. And although it was one of my favorite movies in the world, I just hate that "As Good As It Gets" has the line that says it better than I ever could. I normally don't quote, but if I continue to talk about her, about how she's turned my world around, about how gentle and loving and infinitely supportive she is, you might get nauseous. So here it is, Jack Nicholson's line to Helen Hunt in the gosh-darn incredible movie:
"I might be the only person on the face of the earth that knows you're the greatest woman on earth. I might be the only one who appreciates how amazing you are in every single thing that you do, and how you are with (people), and in every single thought that you have, and how you say what you mean, and how you almost always mean something that's all about being straight and good. I think most people miss that about you, and I watch them, wondering how they can watch you bring their food, and clear their tables and never get that they just met the greatest woman alive. And the fact that I get it makes me feel good, about me.
That's my honey. And all of you have been so incredible to do all this for me, especially when I was thinking of just leaving the place because the bastages were gettin' me down. I am simply AMAZED by the turn-out and the veritable plethora of Paul Simon fans! (((GTW)))

Choir practice. The women and men there are just like older siblings or even surrogate parents to me and I always feel better about things after leaving.
