I have Comcast cable. My grandson hit a button on the Comcast remote control and the picture-in-picture function came on. I can't get small the inset picture to go away. I called Comcast and they are clueless. There is nothing on my TV that deals with this function. It is driving me crazy having the smaller picture there. Can someone help me?????

If your TV's remote has no PIP button, then Check your comcast remote for the PIP button. I am sure it is there.

Wow! That was exactly the problem I was facing and was searching for answers, (just that my young son had hit something on the comcast remote that switched PIP on )
I do have a PIP button on the remote but it didn't switch the PIP off.

I hit the red "Help" button and guess what, PIP window went away.(what a relief)

Try that!!(be sure the remote is in TV mode)

Could be the timer. Make sure it's set to off. Check the power plug and make sure it's firmly in its socket. To be honest there's no mileage in repairing a 15 year old TV if its anything else.
