Be honest with your dad and tell him that you want to try it out because you kinda like him.If that doesn't work, tell him that most relationships workout and age doesn't matter.Hope I helped.

Well how old are you both? Two years does not matter to your dad unless you are 16 and he is 18.
If your dad lives in another state, I am sure there are lots of things he doesn't know.

Two years is nothing if you are 20 and he is 22 -but if you are 13 and he is 15 better get some advice from Dad ---be honest with your Dad . He may be your best friend when it comes to boy type questions >!!

If there is no legal issue, like you being underage for him, there should be no problem, your boyfriend like all others eventually meet the Dad,your boyfriend's the one who should be nervous. The first times I met former girlfriends Dads,I'd get the third degree, because Dad's worry about their little girls,no matter how old you get.

how old are you???? who cares if the guy is 2 years older. age is nothing but a number. and who cares what your dad thinks, its your life as long as your happy why should it matter. hes in another state anyways so its not like he can do anything about it anyways if it did upset him.

more info needed
is it like your 12 and he's 14
or
your 14 and he's 16
or
your 16 and he's 18

the first 2 would be semi OK with guardian knowing who and where i was

the third i would go against because something as little as keeping you out after curfew could land him in jail for 5 years or more for contributing to a juvenile. it he had sex with you and you are a minor even if you agree to it, he could go to jail anywhere from 20 years to life for rape.

As long as you aren't under 16 but if you are younger than that I would start dating.

If you have a good relationship rather than tell him about it, ask for his advice about it. This way it keeps the doors of communication open.
