Starting salaries this year is around $43K (this can vary depend on the region the resident is in due to housing costs). This is plenty to live off of and buy a small condo/house.

Yes, they tend to have salaries in the low $40,000 per year range, which works out to about $10 or $12 an hour. Much better than in the old days.
