The zen answer 100% of each .Seems contradictory at 1st glance but what in zen isn't.It means there is 100% involvement to each aspect. You learn the technique 100% physical involvement you repeat the technique thousands of times until you get to the point where you think it it is done and finally where thinking it is no longer required it is just done the no mind no form state.

No useful information can be drawn from the comparison. The body could not do martial arts without the mind and the mind could not learn martial arts without the body. If someone tried to use their mind as much as their body or vice versa, they could never know for sure if they succeeded.

Martial Arts is practiced repetitively.
Repetition training is the key to mastery. There is no 50/50 or any combination of mind and body.
You are talking about fighting. There is this myth that your teacher is supposed to teach you what to do against a punch or kick or whatever. This is not correct.
You learn your art by repeating the forms. The problem is, when you spar, you do boxing with some kicking. Why even bother?
Your techniques... the ones that all these kids are in here asking about how to do... are all in your forms, kata, kuen, hyung, etc.
If you want to grapple someone or throw or apply a pressure point, it is in your form.
Sad thing is that a lot of teachers tell their students, "you can't learn that", when they should be saying, I DON"T KNOW THAT!
As one of my teachers says when asked what to do for any particular technique... " I don't know!, I don't care!, I just do my form!". He adds... "I do my art over and over, it becomes part of my nature".
Once you have trained correctly, namely - REPETITION!, it becomes instinct and you never have to think about what to do. Your body will do it, instinctively.
You ever heard of Mushin? It means no-mind. So how is it that every answer refers to even a fraction of a percent of the mind?
Learn and speak truth. Not what you think is truth.

Martial fighting is 100% Mind 100% Body. They don't work without each other.
Martial arts is not just theory and not just application.
It is applied theory.

80% mental 20% physical. Although for younger inexperienced fighters I think it is 50/50. I have seen many fighters lose to other fighters and often times it is the mental aspects that allow them to do it. How well they make adjustments to what their opponent is doing, how well they think, stratigize and execute usually will give them the upper hand and the descision in fight. As they gain experience, maturity, and skill they learn that the mental aspect is moreso important than the physical. An aging fighter will rely on his physical abilities even less and and mental abilites, skill, and experience more as those physical abilities wane. At some point though even those abilities may not be enough to overcome raw physical abilities.

not sure of a percentage but it is more mind than body, because if you dont' have a strong mind you will never have the body required to be successful. the thing which sets professional athletes apart from most of us is desire, not desire while in the ring/on the feild/court whatever but while not competeing, so that their desire makes them lift run drill whatever so that they can become the best, sure many of them are very athletic naturally but not all, in fact fedor emelianenkos first coach said that when he met fedor he was one of the least athletic people he'd ever met. and i've met many insanely athletic people who never got anywhere with it because they didn't work, one of the mos athletic persons i know never went to college and has worked in a shoe store since high school.
