My wife and I are ready to leave the USA and live and work in prague. We are having a tough time finding out how to do it so please help us here are some details. Our ages 27, 24 and we are us citizens
My dad lives and is married in prague. He and his wife are both citizens. He is willing to do whatever needed to get me there. He was not a citizen at my birth but was prior to my birth and of course after. His wife owns a small business that isn't really practiced yet but if needed she is willing to hire me if that will help. He is 50 and lives with my grandmother who is 75. My brother died as an american soldier and due to my mom keeping me from my dad as a child I never really got to know him and feel like now is the time. Also my wife is interested in attending school there but unfortunetly we do not have the money to enroll her right now.

I am fine living there on a visa would rather be a permanent residenct so I could keep my us citizenship. I have read if I get residence then I would not have to wait 5 years to get citizenship and could immediatly apply due to my family that is there.

Any tips suggestions on what we could do would be great. We need some kind of ok that we can go because at that point we need 6 months to move.

I don't really understand your question fully but will try to give you some info.and maybe some of it will help you.
I am an American who's husband is a dual citizen of US and Hungary, my son also is.
I know Hungary ( Budapest) is not Prauge but maybe I think they may be similar in culture having both been former communist countries.
I live part- time(6 months per year) in Budapest with my husband.
We don't work over here but I don't think you will have a problem getting a work permit where you want to go if your step-mom sponsers you for one.Things are a bit easier in the eastern countries.
Have you ever been to Prauge before? If not, I would really suggest that you and your wife only go for a long visit the first time.People are very nice in this part of the world but coming from the US and being a young couple, you may find it stranger than you may think.
I have come for long visits since 1978 and I still find many things hard to get used to. We are planning on staying here permenatly in a few years when we retire.
I don't know your families living arrangements but can tell you that most average people in this part of the world live in close quarters. It can be stiffling at times mostly in the winter when everyone is in the apt. together. Most people have only 2 rooms and a small bath and kitchen. They turn their living rooms into bedrooms at night. They are big on sofa beds. They are sweet and sort of noisy, wanting to know all of your business and they have different privacy limits,it can drive you crazy.I don't wish to scare you or sound negative but just visit first and let it all sink in.
We are lucky that we have bought our own apt.I could never think about living with family over here to cramped.
With the college, nowdays you must pay for it yourself or get a scolorship.Your wife may need to wait on that for awhile. The young people your age mostly speak English but will also speak their native language without regarding if you know what is going on or not. They are not rude, they just don't understand you don't know their language well enough to communicate with them.My son lived in Hungary for more that a year and it drove him crazy at times that he was the only one who couldn't speak Hungarian.
I am sure your family will welcome you and it would be nice for you to visit your dad, just be ready to be confused. Good luck,I hope it works out for you and at least it will be interesting..

Not in Prague, it is greatly structural at the authorized age techniques. You would possibly get a few beverages within the dirtier locations round nooks and crannies however the extra public bars are going to desire I.D.
