My cat was neutered 2 days ago and he still appears to have testicles. they are smaller than before though. is this normal - i have another neutered boy cat and I can't see anything like that on him. could it be swelling or something that will dissapear?

The scrotum is still there, just the testicles within have been removed. Just keep a look out for swelling and infection.

This is a normal reaction in some cats (even dogs) Like the many answers before mine have said, keep an eye on it for swelling and infection (your vet should have given you details about this) and if they do not appear to be better within the next couple of weeks check with your vet and make sure

One of the ways they neuter males cats leaves the sack still on the cat. It does make him look like he still has testicles, only smaller.

This method is actually less prone to get infection as it heals (at least that's what my vet told me).

I've had several cats neutered by this method and have never had any problems.

The size will go down some but they will always have little "decorations" there. I actually prefer it because they still look like boys.

The last one of ours to be neutered still looked sort of 'full', but there's nothing inside them. Part could be that the fur sticks out further, part could be that they don't deflate down as much as you think sometimes.

Our other three neutered boys all look flat.

hi. happy Sabbath. i could in no way insult your cute cat or supplement Hitler! Your cat must be insulted with tries to such an awful assessment. howdy, why no longer learn him to Charlie Chaplain? It became into suggested in a documentary (PBS) of Charlie Chaplain's modeling his mustache after Hitler's to make exciting of him... Ur cat's a cutie fur ball!

It may be swelling because of the surgery. You should check with your vet if in doubt. There should be no charge for follow up exams.

most likely swelling. more times than not, they do not actually remove the testes. they are, in effect, disconnected. they will shrink more and more over time until they are virtually gone.
