Well for one thing, this would mean that the immortal soul doctrine is completely false.
Also, by reason of Jesus having to 'learn obedience' we can only assume that his 'immortality' was not eternal before his willing sacrifice upon the torture stake.
what the other JW's on this site may not know, is that you have studied with the Jehovah's Witnesses, and have since rejected the teaching, and as such, have set yourself up in opposition to them.
You are in fact, an apostate, who even by Gamaliel's standards, has taken up the precarious position of opposing that which perhaps has God's backing.
I would be sorry for you, except, the Bible tells me to not feel sorry for those who are persishing.

Being born in the flesh as the earthly Son of Jehovah did not entitle Jesus to enter into the kingdom of heaven as a spirit. Contrary to the popular Babylonish myth, humans do not possess a soul or spirit that survives death. Even though perfect, like the original son of God, Adam, Jesus was still just a human – or as Jesus himself worded it: “what has been born from flesh is flesh.”

That is why it was necessary for Christ to be born again in the spirit, so that after his death in the flesh he might be made alive as a spirit.

Jesus was a new creation because never before had Jehovah given birth to such a creature and conferred upon them the gift of immortality and incorruptibleness, as Paul wrote concerning Christ at 1 Timothy 6:16 – “He the King of those who rule as kings and Lord of those who rule as lords, the one alone having immortality…”

The apostle Paul wrote: “This manifestation the happy and only Potentate will show in its own appointed times, he the King of those who rule as kings and Lord of those who rule as lords, the one alone having immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom not one of men has seen or can see.”—1 Timothy 6:15, 16.

However, the context indicates that at 1 Timothy 6:15, 16, Paul was specifically referring to Jesus.

At the end of verse 14, Paul mentions “the manifestation of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Timothy 6:14) Hence, when Paul writes in verse 15 that “this manifestation the happy and only Potentate will show in its own appointed times,” he is referring to a manifestation of Jesus, not of Jehovah God. Who, then, is the “only Potentate”? It seems reasonable to conclude that Jesus is the Potentate referred to by Paul. Why? The context makes it evident that Paul is comparing Jesus with human rulers. Jesus truly is, as Paul wrote, “King of those humans who rule as kings and Lord of those humans who rule as lords.” Yes, compared to them, Jesus is the “only Potentate.” Jesus has been given “rulership and dignity and kingdom, that the peoples, national groups and languages should all serve even him.” (Daniel 7:14) No human potentate can make that claim!
What about the phrase “the one alone having immortality”? Again, a comparison is being drawn between Jesus and human kings. No earthly rulers can claim to have been granted immortality, but Jesus can. Paul wrote: “We know that Christ, now that he has been raised up from the dead, dies no more; death is master over him no more.” (Romans 6:9) Thus, Jesus is the first one to be described in the Bible as receiving the gift of immortality. Indeed, at the time of Paul’s writing, Jesus was the only one who had attained indestructible life.

It should also be kept in mind that it would have been wrong for Paul to say that Jehovah God alone had immortality, since Jesus too was immortal when Paul wrote those words. But Paul could say that Jesus alone was immortal in comparison with earthly rulers.

Similar expressions are applied to Jesus at 1 Corinthians 8:5, 6; Revelation 17:12, 14; 19:16.

Jesus is given the gift of immortality so that he can serve as God's High Priest for eternity. Hebrews (and other Scriptures) make it quite plain that Jesus did not always have immortality.

(Hebrews 7:15-17) There arises another priest [Jesus], who has become such, not according to the law of a commandment depending upon the flesh, but according to the power of an indestructible life, for in witness it is said: “You are a priest forever

because Jesus proved himself beyond a shadow of doubt his loyalty to Jehovah. think about it the angels are not self sustained they have not been tested under extreme stress like Jesus did,,immortality conveys a self sustaining everlasting life, Jehovah trusts him 100000000 percent never to ever turn against him so now Jesus is not dependant on Jehovah to live, Jehovah cannot ever take it away from him.

remember the account in the garden of eden after adam and eve sinned "(Here man has become like us in knowing good and bad and now in order that he may put his hand out and actually take fruit also from the tree of life eat and live to time indefinite and so he drove the man out of the garden...."

that tree of life wasn't anything special except Jehovah decreed that whoever he permits to eat it is guaranteed life, he would have obligated himself to sustain that life forever.

if he had let adam eat it he would have to renounce his death sentence and let him live forever. see even Jehovah doesn't make laws or rules as he goes along, he obeys even his own laws even if inconvenient.

so he kept adam from accessing it. He (jesus) is the first of any one who Jehovah granted permanent life, it can never be taken away ever. He knows that Love is a perfect bond of union, he proved his love was geniune and once that love/obedience was perfected what more did Jehovah need to be proven too?

He knows Jesus will never ever betray his laws. It is impossible for jesus to do so now.

How many humans and angels can say that? only those who prove faithful to death who are members of Jesus brotherhood who get to rule with him will be granted immortality.(we call them the anointed ones or the holy ones mentioned in revelation, and daniel)

RRRRR

Yes. Note the setting. Paul was not discussing God’s kingship or immortality but was contrasting Jesus to others of mankind. Jesus is “King of those [men] who rule as kings.” (Rev. 17:12, 14; 19:16) Christ is also preeminent in lordship, being “Lord of those [humans] who rule as lords.” So when Paul wrote that Jesus is “the one alone having immortality” he meant that of all kings or lords from humankind, the glorified Christ is alone immortal.

It must be noted that Jesus did not always have immortality. If he did, it would have been impossible for him to come to earth to die for our sins. He was not bestowed with immortality until AFTER his resurrection. Ro. 6:9 says: "For we know that Christ, now that he has been raised up from the dead, dies no more; death is master over him no more."
