What to do, need ideas for covering, hiding full length mirrors on closet doors?

Question

I have far too many mirrored closet doors in my bedroom.
I feel like I'm at a circus side show, there are so many.
Any ideas what I can do besides replacing them all together?

Instead of covering the mirrors, you could cover the other walls with large prints of countryside and open roads, and then dream of where you're going.

Looks like most ideas were covered but I have a strange one. I actually saw it at a customer's home. Tape the mirrors over with clear tape (completely) than break them! Actually a great look. My customers son broke a closet door mirror, they taped it over to prevent the glass from falling down. Their son liked the look so much he taped over the other door and broke it to. I am not sure if he is still a member of the family.

You could hang curtains, that match your decor. Or you could go to a craft store for glass paint and paint your mirrors with a Muriel of your choice by getting stencils. And cover the whole mirror, or muriel wall paper.

You can frost them, go to Home Depot and asked for a temporary frosting kit, this will come off with water so it is not permanent, be sure that you specify temporary, if you get the permanent stuff you will ruin them. If you like you can put a pattern in the middle so you can see just a small amount of mirror and frost the rest, and when you get tired of this you can just wash it off.

You can either get window films that come in many styles like frosting, stained glass, etc.. on sites like

Use the the glass frosting application but do it in some cool design, use a stencil or create your own

Paint on them.
Use white latex paint from the hardware store, tint it in your favorite color or use acrylic paint on the latex to draw stripes , shapes, cartoons stencil flowers etc.
That's a large surface there, you can get really creative.

You can remove it if your mom yells at you, but that's a pain.

Good answers all! I happen to like Japanese screens, if you don't mind the space they may take up. It's a good non-labor intensive fix, one or more panels could be cork for use as a pin-up board.
